Summer is here, and nothing says summer like ice cream! July 2021 Featured Chef Tee Gardner is ready to satisfy those sweet tooth cravings warm weather always seems to bring. We have a feeling Tee’s Sugar-Free Bacon Maple Walnut Ice Cream is going to be a fan favorite for our families and us this summer. It is so tasty. The kiddos do not even need to know this treat is made using healthier alternatives than store-bought ice cream options. Tee swaps out regular cane sugar for allulose maple syrup and sweetener. We can’t forget the bacon! She uses US Wellness Meats Sugar-Free Pork Bacon to make the flavor shine. YUM!

Sugar-Free Bacon Maple Walnut Ice Cream

USWM Shopping List: Walnuts, Sugar-Free Pork Bacon
Ingredients
Ice cream:
- 5 egg yolks
- 1 1/3 cup organic heavy cream
- 2/3 cup unsweetened macadamia milk or almond milk
- 1 1/2 Tsp maple extract
- 1/4 Tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Bacon Maple Walnut Sauce:
- 4 pieces of crispy Sugar-Free Pork Bacon cooked and chopped
- 1/3 cup chopped walnuts.
- 1/4 cup maple Allulose syrup
- 1 Tbs allulose sweetener
- Pinch of salt
- Extra maple allulose for drizzling
Instructions
Ice Cream:
Option 1: If you have pasteurized eggs, you can simply blend all the ingredients and place into the ice cream maker. Once ready per the ice cream maker instructions, stir in the bacon mixture and allow to set in the freezer or enjoy soft.
Option 2: Mix the ingredients EXCEPT THE EXTRACTS and cook over a double broiler stirring constantly until slightly thickened. Remove from the heat and stir in the extracts and salt. Either refrigerate over night OR place over an ice bath. Once chilled, use your ice cream maker per the instructions until set. Stir in bacon and allow to set in the freezer or just enjoy.
Bacon Maple Walnut Sauce:
Mix all the ingredients EXCEPT THE WALNUTS and heat on medium just until thickened. Once heated, remove from the heat and stir the walnuts into the hot mixture. Set aside to cool.
