USWM Shopping List: Beef Brisket Point, Beef Broth, Beef Rub
Smoked Beef Brisket Point ingredients
- 1 Beef brisket point
- 2 Tablespoons beef rub
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil (or avocado oil)
- 1 Cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1 Cup sugar-based cola
- Water
- Spray bottle
- Pink butcher paper
- Instant-read meat probe
Smoked Mini Meatloaf Instructions
1. Preheat your smoker or off-set grill to 225 degrees F
2. Apply a thin coat of olive oil that acts as a binder
3. Apply an even coat of your favorite beef rub. I prefer charcoal-based rubs for color contrast and flavor.
4. Place Brisket on the smoker. Spray Brisket with a 50/50 mix of Beef Broth and cola every 45 minutes. Looking to hit an internal temperature of 165.
5. Spray pink butcher paper with your 50/50 mix. Wrap Brisket tightly in paper.
6. Continue smoking with a target temperature of 195. Pull from heat when probe slides into meat like butter.
7. Wrap another layer of pink butcher paper around the Brisket, then wrap that in a towel. Place in a sealed cooler for 2 hours.
8. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
