Any meal that features tasty chicken, cheese, and tomato is proven to be a fan favorite for many. Sometimes Chicken Parmesan dishes at restaurants may feature added ingredients that may not fit into your dietary lifestyle, but never fear, we have a recipe to share that will give you the most delicious version right in your kitchen. Our favorite is garlic Parmesan green beans to add to the side. This is a classic dish in our home and even the kids can’t stop eating it!”
Healthy Chicken Parmesan Recipe
Recipe By: Jillian Vander Ploeg, Healthy GAPS Mama
Serves: 3-4 People
USWM Shopping List: Chicken Breasts
Ingredients:
- 1.5-2 Lbs Chicken Breast or Tenders
- 3/4 Cup Almond Flour
- 3/4 tsp Garlic Powder
- 3/4 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 3/4 tsp Dried Basil
- 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
- 1/4 tsp Ground Pepper
- 1/3 Cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese
- Clean Tomato Sauce
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper, or glass baking dish will work as well
- In a small bowl, combine almond flour and all seasonings
- Coat each piece of chicken in the mixture and place on baking sheet, sprinkle additional Parmesan cheese if desired
- Place in oven and bake until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit
- Remove from oven, top with tomato sauce, cheese, fresh basil and enjoy!
