Grilled Top Sirloin Primal Steak Cuts Recipe

Using a top sirloin primal cut from grass-fed beef ensures lean, flavorful, and nutritious steaks. Pair with baked potato skins, fresh vegetables, or a favorite sauce for a crowd-pleasing meal.

Total Time: 45 minutes – 1 hour (including prep)

Ingredients

  • 1 Top Sirloin Primal Beef Cut (4.5 lbs, yields ~6–7 steaks) Add to Cart

  • 6–8 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

  • 4 tablespoons salt, pepper, and garlic seasoning mix

  • Garlic Butter Sauce (separate recipe)

  • Chimichurri (separate recipe)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Beef:

    • Thaw your primal cut and let it sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes.

    • Cut into individual 1” steaks, slicing with the grain for better texture.

  2. Season:

    • Place steaks in a large bowl or prepping tub.

    • Coat generously with olive oil and salt, pepper, garlic seasoning mix.

    • Let sit another 15–20 minutes while heating the grill to 450–550°F.

  3. Grill:

    • Sear steaks in a high-heat zone for 3–4 minutes per side until a dark brown crust forms.

    • Move to a cooler zone and cook to your desired internal temperature (medium rare plus: 136–137°F).

    • Remove from grill and rest for 5 minutes.

  4. Serve:

    • Pair with baked potato skins, fresh vegetables, or your favorite sauce (garlic butter or chimichurri recommended).

    • Enjoy a juicy, flavorful, and nutritious steak meal!
