USWM Shopping List: Ground Bison, Sugar-Free Pork Bacon, Grass-Fed Cheese, All-Purpose Seasoning

  1. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, coconut aminos, apple cider vinegar, spices, egg, and ground bison. Feel free to use your hands or a kitchen utensil, and make sure to combine thoroughly.
  2. Form the burger patties by taking a handful of the mixture, forming it into a large meatball, and pressing into a patty.
  3. Grill the burgers for 3-5 minutes on each side, depending on your temperature preference.
  4. While the burgers are on the grill, prepare the sugar-free bacon. Carley used her cast-iron skillet, but feel free to use the oven or grill.
  5. After you have flipped the burger, top it with cheese in the last couple of minutes to pack even more brain-boosting nutrition to this meal. Once the bacon is ready and the cheese is oozing over the sides, place the bacon atop the burgers, and then remove it from the grill.
  6. Time to chow down! Carley likes to throw the burger on a bed of greens and top with avocado, tomato, and some of that leftover bacon grease. YUM!
  7. This recipe is also great for meatballs in a soup, pasta dish, or mini sliders
