Greek Sliders With Avocado Tzatziki Recipe

Greek Sliders

Featured Chef Alison Marras offers up a tasty slider recipe with a Mediterranean twist. Give these Greek Sliders a try and make sure to include the Avocado Tzatziki sauce and her AIP English Muffins for the full experience. This recipe allows you to be flexible with your ground meat choices. Try it once with grass-fed beef, then change it up and use ground lamb or bison for an altogether different flavor profile.

Toppings Shown:

  • Lettuce
  • Sliced red onion
  • Kalamata olives

Carrot Fries:

  • 1 Tbsp melted duck fat
  • 4 large carrots
  • pinch of sea salt

Directions:

  1. Make the Avocado Tzatziki and store in the fridge to keep cool for an hour if you have the time, but optional (for more flavor).
  2. Prep carrot fries by cutting carrots into matchstick size and roast on a parchment-lined baking sheet on 400ºf after tossing with duck fat and sea salt.
  3. Cook for 25-30 minutes while doing the rest below.
  4. Make AIP English Muffins and set aside if using, or ready any buns or butter lettuce.
  5. Season the ground meat with all slider ingredients listed.
  6. Shape the meat into 1/2 inch thick sliders (small enough to fit your buns/English muffins if using)
  7. Heat a cast iron pan over medium-high and lightly grease with coconut oil. Cook the sliders for approx. 5 minutes on each side (cook thoroughly for poultry).
  8. Build your burger with the Avocado Tzatziki and your favorite toppings.
  9. Serve alongside your carrot fries.
