Weight Training Programs & Fat Burning Intervals

Interval work has proven to be highly effective for my clients wanting to lose body fat quickly Barry and Kim.  Two sessions each week that are around thirty minutes have a dramatic impact on fat burning, especially when high levels of effort are applied.  Below I will explain how Strive for Five can put you both into an elevated state of fat burning throughout the week.  Check out these videos and excellent fat burning interval strategies.

Yes performing Fat Burning Intervals will help you firm up muscles in all of the right places.  The stationary bike for example is great for the quads.  Clients who want to improve their backside do very well with an elliptical, stair climbing, running and more.  Rotating the different venue options many of which can be done at home keeps stimuli fresh.  Clients also like swimming, jump roping, farm work, and more.

 

Crank up the Tension

 

I manipulate many factors including time lengths, venues, warm ups, cool downs and more.  However increasing tension gradually over time is one of the best ways to accelerate fat burning.  The harder you work- the greater the ability to increase fat burning hormones assuming proper attention is paid to recovery.

 

Strive for Five

 

Five total well planned training sessions per week will put you into an elevated status of fat burning throughout the 7 day week.  In general I recommend two Fat burning Interval sessions and three weight training sessions per week.  Each workout has a distinct impact on metabolism and fat burning hormones for the following 24 to 48 hours.  Consider this spread over the week and you will be in a heightened state of fat burning throughout the week when combined with the right nutrition approach.

A Fat Burning Interval includes for example a 20 second sprint followed by a 20 second jog pace.  This sequence can be repeated for twenty minutes for example.  Research proves that alternating periods of high and low intensity is highly effective for fat burning through several pathways.
