2019 US Wellness Meats Featured Chef Q&A

Tell us about yourself:

I’m a Food Blogger, Style Maker, and Cook. I Entertain, Travel and Write to Inspire Your Senses.

I have lived in several countries: Italy, Switzerland, and Mexico. Through my travels, I have honed my cooking skills and love to experiment with new ideas, global ingredients, and techniques. I’m passionate about maintaining a well-stocked pantry. I love to whip up a great meal almost as much as I enjoy planning an elaborate dinner party.

How did you get involved in cooking?

My grandparents and parents always cooked at home. I developed a passion early on for quality ingredients, entertaining and sharing my table with friends and family.

Describe your cooking style:

My cooking is focused on developing recipes for entertaining inspired by my travels using locally sourced ingredients.

How did you learn about grass-fed meats?

To find the finest, healthy ingredients, I am always on the hunt for the best purveyors, butchers, and farmers. I came across US Wellness Meats several years ago, the quality of their meats and service is incredible.

What is your favorite recipe featuring grass-fed meat?

Lamb Pistachios Kafta-Kebab Wraps

You’re stranded on a desert island; luckily, you’re stranded with your top 5 ingredients and one must-have kitchen tool:

Maldon Sea Salt, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Chile Crunch, Grass-Fed Butter, Grass-Fed Beef and a Global Classic Chef’s Knife

Best cooking secret/tip/piece of advice you’ve learned:

Start with the best ingredients, season well, taste and adjust. Presentation and flavor are equally important, and a pinch of love is a must.

What’s your favorite quote/song for culinary inspiration (if any)?

“Food is symbolic of love when words are inadequate.”

Anything else you want to share?

I believe that food unites us! Some of us enjoy cooking, and some of us enjoy eating. Many of us enjoy both, it would be a waste of an opportunity to eat poorly.
