Asian Meatballs – Simple Steps

Time-saving and delicious, these patties make healthy meal options more accessible than ever. We also have various grass-fed ground beef options available for those who prefer fattier ground beef or with organ meats blend.

Asian Meatballs – Simple Steps

Meatball Ingredients:

  • 1 lb USWM Grass-fed Ground Beef (I used Ground Top Sirloin)
  • 1 Tbsp Tamari Sauce
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tsp Hot Sauce (choose your favorite)
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Powdered Ginger
  • 1/2 cup Minced Water Chestnuts
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seeds
  • 1 pastured egg

Sauce Ingredients:

  • 1 Tbsp Arrowroot Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Tamari Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Brown “Sugar”
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Powdered Ginger
  • 1 tsp Sesame Seeds

Instructions:

  1. Put 1 lb of ground beef in a bowl
  2. Add 1 Tbsp Tamari Sauce, add Sesame Oil, Hot Sauce, Garlic Powder, Powdered Ginger, Minced Water Chestnuts, Sesame Seeds, and egg to the bowl.
  3. Mix the ingredients together with the ground beef.
  4. In another bowl, prepare the sauce. Add Arrowroot Powder, Tamari Sauce, Rice Wine Vinegar, Sesame Oil, Brown Sugar, Garlic Powder, Powdered Ginger, and Sesame Seeds
  5. Whisk sauce ingredients until combined well.
  6. Roll ground beef into 1-inch balls and place on greased shallow saute pan, cookie sheet, or small muffin tin.
  7. Cook on the stovetop until the underneath appears to be browned, then turn and cook the other side of the meatballs. Check the internal temperature for doneness (approx 160 degrees). – OR – Alternatively, bake at 350 degrees for approximately 5-7 minutes, then turn and finish cooking for 5-7 minutes.
  8. Pour sauce over the meatballs, top with chives, and serve!
