Here’s a handy recipe for breakfast sausage courtesy of Kaylie Watson of Nourished Wellness. Kaylie recommends making a big batch and storing some in the fridge for a week’s worth of breakfasts. You can also put several in a freezer bag and store in the freezer for a quick and easy, heat and eat breakfast sausage patty.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground pork
- 6 ounces sweet potato grated
- 4 ounces onion finally chopped
- 3 ounces baby portabella mushrooms finally chopped
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon fresh sage chopped
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1 teaspoon granulated onion
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions For AIP Sweet & Savory Breakfast Sausage

Preheat the oven to 425°. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper

Mix everything together in a large bowl until fully combined.

Using a scoop, equally divide the mixture into little balls, about two tablespoons each.

Place the balls onto the parchment paper and lightly press down to create a patty.

Place in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
