20-Hour Fasted Periods for Rapid Fat Loss

Trish, 20-hour fasted periods followed by a 4-hour eating window a couple times per week is extremely effective for fat burning. Yes, it takes some discipline, but with the right organic food choices during meal times, the fasted periods are not as hard as one would think. On the other 5 days of the week I would use an 8-hour eating window which ends up being a 16-hour fasted period. Fasting can put the body into overdrive as it relates to fat burning while optimizing several fat burning pathways.

Meal Structures During Eating Windows

You must make your meals count during the 4-hour eating window twice per week. You can consume two or three meals during the 4-hour eating window to satisfy your needs with large portions of organically raised protein/dietary fat choices and an unlimited amount of green vegetables. Load up on the T-bone steaks and soak green vegetables in grass-fed butter to keep you satisfied during fasted periods.

Timing is Everything

Using the 20-hour fasted periods twice per week and the 16-hour fasted period five days per week makes the longer fasted periods easier than one would think. Consuming more food earlier in the day is very helpful for fat burning and makes following fasted periods much easier. Remember that the evening and the period of time while you are sleeping are perfect times to be in a fasted state and those hours add up quickly.
